ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

Children are welcome on most of the tours, but please bear in mind that some children have a limited attention span and therefore a 2-3 hour tour or event may not be appropriate for them. Parents know their children best and should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing, walking, and Market congestion, please consider this when deciding whether the tours and events are appropriate for your child.

Whether to bring your child is ultimately up to your discretion, but please note that all children, ages 3+, need a paid ticket. We assume that if your child is below age 3 than they will not be participating in the food tasting portion of the tour or that they might be sharing food with a parent. Therefore, for children below age 3, no ticket is required and there will not be a food portion dedicated to this child. If you’d like food for your child under 3, then please do purchase a ticket in advance.

Unfortunately, strollers are not permitted and wheelchairs are not recommended, due to the crowds and tight spaces in the Market and the food establishments we visit. The tours utilize narrow sidewalks, cross uneven cobble stone streets, and traverse certain staircases. Some of the artisans and businesses we visit are very small, crowded, and are not wheelchair or stroller accessible in a tour group of up to 16 guests.

CAN I GET A REFUND OR RESCHEDULE MY TICKETS?

You may cancel your ticket and get a full refund until 72 hours prior to the start of the tour . You may reschedule your booking until 48 hours prior to the start of the tour. To reschedule or cancel, please contact us by e-mail spbfoodtours@gmail.com or call +7 (921) 566-41-99. You can not reschedule a ticket more than once. In case of a tour being cancelled by SPb Food Tours, of course we will be glad to reschedule your tour or refund your ticket purchase. Gift cards are non refundable.

DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE?

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

ARE TOUR GUIDE GRATUITIES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

SPb Food Tours does not include gratuities in the cost of our tours. A standard gratuity for a tour guide is 100-200 rub. If you had a great time gratuities are accepted by our tour guides.

FOOD RELATED

WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR FOOD ALLERGIES?

We can provide substitutions for vegetarians and those who do not eat seafood but we cannot make substitutions for any other food allergies (such as gluten-free or dairy-free).

Substitutions must be requested in advance with your ticket purchase. All tastings have been prepared in advance at each location, based on the information you provided to us at the time of ticket purchase. Last minute dietary changes on tour will not be accommodated.

HOW MUCH FOOD IS SERVED?

Our tours include 6-8 tasting locations (depends on the tour type) along the way. Enough food tastings are served that for most people lunch afterwards is not needed. And it’s very rare that anyone walks away hungry!
